Sunset at the Desert

Near 18:30 at winter, sunset happens. It's really amazing to see the different colors of the landscape: the sea, the sky, the desert. Sometimes it's possible to see a flock of birds, across the sky, called "Jotes" (a kind of vulture).

And beyond.... "La Portada"

"La Portada de Antofagasta", The Antofagasta's Cover, is an amazing natural monument, formed by billions years of erosion. Is the door to the most barren desert in the world, the "Atacama Desert".

"La Portada" is located about 10 miles to the north of Antofagasta, the main city of Second Region of Chile.
